Tara Kennedy

Oral Health Therapist

DEN0002449264 – Registered Oral Health Therapist, General Registration

Tara is a passionate Oral Health Therapist who graduated in 2020 with one simple goal: to make visiting the dentist a positive experience. Known for her kind, gentle, and patient-centred approach, Tara has worked hard to become the practitioner people genuinely enjoy seeing rather than fear.

She has a special passion for working with children and welcomes patients of all ages—including babies as young as 12 months. Whether it’s a child’s very first dental visit or helping an anxious adult feel comfortable, Tara has a natural ability to put people at ease and create a calm, supportive environment.

Tara believes that oral health is about much more than teeth. She takes a functional, root-cause approach to treatment, looking beyond symptoms to understand how oral health connects with the rest of the body. She has a particular interest in airway health, growth and development, and the important role the mouth plays in overall wellbeing.

In 2021, Tara completed her training in Myofunctional Therapy and has since developed a strong passion for helping children improve their breathing, sleep, facial growth, and development. She is committed to providing evidence-informed care that supports not only healthy smiles but healthier lives.

Tara is passionate about continually expanding her knowledge and regularly undertakes professional development to ensure she is providing the highest standard of care for her patients.

Outside the clinic, life is what Tara lovingly describes as “beautiful chaos.” She is a proud mum to her son and shares her home with three small dogs who keep life entertaining. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her on the soccer field, challenging herself at CrossFit, or curled up with a good book—whether it’s the latest research to expand her dental knowledge or a novel that lets her imagination wander.

Tara looks forward to welcoming you and your family and helping you feel confident, comfortable, and cared for at every visit.
