Smile On Clinics is thrilled to be partnering up with Dr Ash Bowden aka Doctor Do More again for #MoveAgainstCancer, the largest step challenge on the Central Coast and a pivotal initiative in the fight against cancer. Smile On Clinics and Doctor Do More are playing an essential role in promoting healthy lifestyle choices and raising awareness about preventative measures against this devastating disease.
In 2022, an average of 440 Australians were diagnosed with cancer each day.
As a result, Dr Ash Bowden is on a mission to get people exercising and moving more to improve your health and happiness, and Smile On Clinics is excited to get behind this cause once again in 2023.
Practice Principal and leading local dentist, Dr Ned Restom says, “being a cancer survivor, I believe it’s important to get involved with initiatives to raise awareness and funds in the fight against cancer. Helping others is so important as it builds communities, changes lives and drives people to do better.”
Dr Bowden suggests using any activity watch or smartphone to track your steps. And if you need more motivation, logging your steps each day puts you in the running to win prizes!
#MoveAgainstCancer encourages participants to join up in teams and track their steps throughout September. Improving our step count not only benefits our physical and mental health, but exercise is shown to lower a person’s risk of 13 types of cancer.
Grab your friends, family, and colleagues and get your team together – Entry fee is $10. Register here https://www.doitforcancer.com.au/event/move-against-cancer
